MTK kits
In view of the enormity of revising the
whole MTK range (nearly 600 different kits) we have decided to continue
production of some of the better (or more interesting) MTK kits - at least for a
while. Where possible, we have improved the tooling; photo tools for the
etchings have had thumbprints and ink smudges removed, etched panel lines
tidied, and unwanted holes removed; moulds have had loose rubber trimmed, and
feeds added so that parts now cast completely. Etched body shells are now
accurately formed, and reject castings are returned to the melting pot, rather
than being packed in the box. This has uplifted the quality to a higher level,
to give a much better chance of completing a satisfactory model. It must be
remembered, of course, that these are still from the MTK tooling, and will need
a bit more work than the new NNK products.
